Storytellers Links
Rendezvous: In the late 1800s, the Rocky Mountains
provided spots and opportunities for the fur traders and
trappers to get together yearly to trade furs and trinkets,
pick up powder and lead for bullets, renew acquaintances
and make new friends, and a place to “swap yarns” about
their year in the wilderness. This site is designed as a place
where storytellers can get together and do the same things.
As the site develops, we hope to provide you with new
“powder and bullets”, let you renew acquaintances, make
new friends and “swap yarns.”
Confrences and Festivals
“At this Rendezvous you will find links
to Festivals and Conferences in the
Rocky Mountains and Great Basin of
the West, links to other tellers, and a
chance to post a note to others
regarding your opinion on all kinds of
topics. Our hope is that this will be
one of your regular stops as you
wander the web. Stop and browse a
bit, leave a comment or a question,
or just expand your horizons of the
West. From time to time, we will be
posting information about events
that you might find of interest or a
topic that needs to be discussed.
This is a place for information for
all tellers. So, pull up a log, sit down
by the fire for a spell and help us
spin the story of our Rendezvous.”
